Wedding Photography At Carden Park – Mollie & Craig

There are few places more perfect for a late summer celebration than Carden Park, a luxury hotel nestled in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Mollie and Craig’s September wedding was the epitome of elegance, joy, and warmth, set against the backdrop of one of the North West’s most picturesque venues. From start to finish, it was a dream day to document—and a perfect example of how magical wedding photography at Carden Park can be.

Morning Preparations at Carden Park

The day began with calm excitement as Mollie and Craig got ready in separate suites at the hotel. With floor-to-ceiling windows, chic interiors, and a peaceful atmosphere, the bridal and groom prep spaces at Carden Park offer a relaxed start to the day while still feeling special. Mollie looked breathtaking in her gown from Love Bridal Boutique—elegant, modern, and effortlessly romantic. Her bouquet by SP Floral Designs was a timeless arrangement of white seasonal flowers, perfectly suited to the late summer setting.

Craig, meanwhile, looked sharp in his suit from Slater’s Menswear. There was a lovely stillness to his morning, surrounded by close friends and family, quietly preparing to meet Mollie under the open sky.

An Outdoor Ceremony in the Sculpture Garden

The ceremony took place outdoors, right next to the Sculpture Garden. It’s hard to imagine a more picturesque setting: lush green grounds, contemporary sculpture, and a gentle breeze catching the edge of Mollie’s veil as she walked down the aisle. With guests seated on the lawn and acoustic music by Mike Dignam setting the tone, it was an intimate, heartfelt moment that felt like something from a film. Wedding photography at Carden Park truly shines during ceremonies like this—natural light, space to move, and a sense of openness that brings a softness to every frame.

Drinks, Canapés and Garden Joy

After the ceremony, guests gathered for drinks and canapés in the garden. The grounds at Carden Park are beautifully kept and offer so many great photo opportunities—from tree-lined paths to wide-open lawns and secret nooks. Mollie and Craig greeted their guests with glasses of fizz, laughter filling the air as the September sun made everything glow.

Wedding Breakfast in the Shooting Suite

The Shooting Suite hosted the wedding breakfast, transformed into a space of elegance and charm by the team at Blooming Beautiful. Think soft drapes, stylish table settings, and florals that echoed the beauty of the outdoor ceremony. Wedding photography at Carden Park benefits hugely from the versatility of its event spaces—each one a blank canvas that couples can make entirely their own.

Speeches were emotional and full of laughter, and just when guests thought they had a moment to catch their breath, Mike Dignam returned for an acoustic set that got everyone clapping and singing along. This wasn’t a wedding where the energy dropped it just kept building.

Sunset Photos in the Vineyard

As golden hour approached, I stole Mollie and Craig away for some evening portraits in one of Carden Park’s most unique spots—the hotel vineyard. It’s a hidden gem that adds a real wow-factor to wedding photography at Carden Park. The light was low and golden, the vines softening in the background, and for a few moments it was just the two of them, taking in the day with the sun setting behind them. These are the kind of shots that couples cherish: quiet, romantic, and completely natural.

Evening Celebrations with Six15

As night fell, the celebrations kicked up another gear. Evening entertainment was provided by the incredible team at Six15, who brought energy, atmosphere, and an epic party soundtrack. The dancefloor filled quickly and stayed full, with everyone toddlers and grandparents, joining the fun. The wedding cake, a stunning design by Zara Cakes, was almost too beautiful to cut. Almost.

About Carden Park

Carden Park Hotel is located within 1,000 acres of stunning Cheshire countryside, with a mile-long drive leading through the Nicklaus golf course, just one of the two championship golf courses onsite it truly is Cheshire’s Country Estate.

The history of Carden Park really started when the land was acquired in the early 17th century by the Leche Family. An elegant Hall was built and the grounds of the park were landscaped and stocked with deer. The Hall was ransacked by Cromwell’s troops but survived and continued to be inhabited. In 1912, the main Hall burnt down in a fire, allegedly after someone dropped a cigarette at a party. Photographs of the Hall show a highly decorated timber framed building, reprised in the rebuilt Resort that you see today.

Construction of golf courses and the purchase of Carden Park by private owner Steve Morgan, has led to a restoration of its fortunes. Carden Park first opened its doors as a hotel on 5th June 1997. Now rather than deer, you are more likely to see pheasants, moorhens, foxes, badgers, and swans which are all regular visitors to the estate.
