About Their Wedding Day
A Christmas Wedding At Victoria Warehouse
When Susannah and Andrew first told me about their plans for a winter celebration at Victoria Warehouse, I was genuinely excited. A December wedding always carries a little extra atmosphere, and Victoria Warehouse provides the perfect setting for a celebration that feels stylish, relaxed and full of character. As a photographer, opportunities for Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photography are endless thanks to the building’s dramatic industrial spaces, warm lighting and unique backdrops.

Their wedding day began with preparations at Eleven Didsbury Park, a boutique hotel tucked away in the leafy suburb of Didsbury. The calm surroundings and cosy interiors made the perfect place for Susannah to get ready with her bridesmaids and family. There was a relaxed buzz in the room as hair and makeup were finished, dresses were buttoned and the excitement of the day began to build.

Meanwhile Andrew was already at Victoria Warehouse, greeting family and friends and waiting patiently for Susannah’s arrival.

A Beautiful Ceremony Inside Victoria Warehouse
Victoria Warehouse is one of Manchester’s most distinctive wedding venues. Located close to the city centre and overlooking Old Trafford, the building dates back to the early twentieth century when it was originally constructed as a cotton storage warehouse. Today it has been carefully restored to preserve its industrial character while creating an unforgettable event space.
For couples planning Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photography, the venue offers a wonderfully atmospheric setting. Exposed brick walls, large windows, steel beams and dramatic lighting combine to create a space that feels both historic and contemporary.
As guests took their seats, the bridesmaids walked down the aisle before Susannah followed with her father. The aisle was beautifully lit with candles and fairy lights, creating a warm and intimate feel inside the warehouse space. Emotion clearly got the better of both Susannah and Andrew as they saw each other at the front, although Andrew quickly lightened the moment with a celebratory fist pump that brought smiles from their guests.
The ceremony was heartfelt and full of warmth, setting the tone for the rest of the day.

Portraits Around Victoria Warehouse
After the ceremony, the newly married couple were greeted with champagne, hugs and plenty of congratulations from their friends and family. We then explored the venue for some relaxed portraits while the winter light was still shining.

One of the reasons couples love Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photography is the incredible variety of backdrops within the venue itself. Industrial textures, interesting architectural details and dramatic open spaces mean there are plenty of creative opportunities without even leaving the building.

Susannah and Andrew were brilliant to photograph. They were relaxed, full of laughter and clearly enjoying every moment together. After their portraits we gathered the family for some group photographs before guests were invited into the Bay area for dinner.

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches
The Bay area at Victoria Warehouse had been beautifully decorated for the wedding breakfast. The industrial setting was softened with elegant styling and thoughtful details, creating a welcoming space for guests to sit down and celebrate together.
Each table carried a meaningful theme featuring guests who were unable to attend the wedding, a lovely tribute that ensured they were still part of the day.

Following a delicious meal, speeches brought plenty of laughter and a few emotional moments. The atmosphere in the room was warm, lively and full of genuine affection for the couple.
For photographers, moments like this are what make Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photography so rewarding. The venue allows plenty of space for guests to relax while the lighting and setting provide a beautiful backdrop for capturing real moments.

An Evening of Laughter and Celebration
The evening celebrations continued in another Bay area of the venue where family and friends had prepared a surprise for the couple. They performed a series of comedy sketches charting Susannah and Andrew’s lives together, from how they met right through to imagined scenes of them growing old together.
The sketches were brilliantly done and genuinely hilarious, keeping guests entertained and adding a very personal touch to the evening.

As more guests arrived for the party, the atmosphere shifted into full celebration mode. This is another reason couples choose the venue when considering Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photography. The space transitions effortlessly from ceremony to dinner to evening party, all within the same incredible building.

First Dance and Evening Party
As the evening continued, Susannah and Andrew took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. Surrounded by their friends and family, they enjoyed a beautiful moment together before inviting everyone else to join them. From that point onwards, the dance floor stayed full as guests celebrated long into the night.
It was a genuine pleasure to photograph their wedding and document such a joyful day. Susannah and Andrew were wonderful to work with, and their wedding perfectly showcased everything that makes Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photography so special.

Why Couples Love Victoria Warehouse
Victoria Warehouse has become one of Manchester’s most popular wedding venues for couples looking for something a little different from the traditional hotel ballroom.
The venue offers several flexible event spaces that can be adapted to suit weddings of different sizes. The Bays are the most popular for ceremonies and receptions, featuring exposed brick, original timber floors and large windows that flood the space with natural light during the day while creating a cosy atmosphere in the evening.
Couples are able to design a wedding that reflects their own style, whether that means relaxed and modern or elegant and dramatic. The industrial setting provides a beautiful blank canvas for creative styling while still retaining plenty of character.
For anyone planning Victoria Warehouse Wedding Photography, the venue’s raw architecture and atmospheric lighting create striking images that feel both timeless and contemporary.
