Thornton Manor Wedding Photography with Lindsey & Ed. We’re pretty lucky to have amazing manor houses dotted around the North West of England and the majority now host weddings that make amazing backgrounds for wedding photography. Thornton Manor wedding photography are the exact kind of photos that I would love to shoot every week, the majestic architecture, opulent interior decor, and the great-looking people who spend their special day there.
With both Lindsey & Ed getting ready at the venue, I got to spend a little time with them both as they prepared and dressed for their amazing wedding. Lindsey looked stunning in her dress from Perfect Bridal Rooms and Ed looked well suited (see what I did there) for the life of a manor house Lord with his custom-made suit from The Drop. They both shared fun and laughed with their family and friends throughout the time before their ceremony and champagne was poured and toasts were made the whole time. I had a really great time with them both!

Pre-ceremony, Ed and his groomsmen greeted the wedding guests downstairs as Lindsey put the finishing touches to her outfit. The always amazing quartet String Infusion set the background atmosphere as family and friends hugged and toasted the couple before they gathered for the ceremony in the early Georgian-inspired Dining Room with its beautiful walnut paneling overlooking the lime tree avenues. Guests were soon gathered and Lindsey was walked down the aisle to meet Ed. After a wedding ceremony with much laughter and happiness, the couple completed the formal part of their day and made their way up the aisle and outside to enjoy some confetti and greet their guests.
Portraits Around The Garden Forum
history in the After the drinks reception, I joined the couple for a stroll around the amazing grounds of the manor. There is extensive history within the gardens and it would take hours for us to stroll around the entire estate so we stayed relatively close to the main house for some couple portraits. We made great use of the lovely archways, tree-lined walkways, and the main garden forum. Being October, we were treated to some golden setting sunlight which made for some really stunning portraits of the couple. Making a bit of a loop around the grounds, we arrived back at the main house where we paused for some family group photos before dinner.
Dinner In The Music Room
As you can see in the below photos, the modestly named Music Room is pretty spectacular. Adorned with spectacular wall paneling, elaborate plasterwork and period paintings by Giovanni Cipriani, it’s quite a magical location for your wedding breakfast celebrations. Lindsey & Ed were welcomed to their meal with thunderous applause before enjoying dinner, speeches and the good company of their guests.
Tuxedo Wedding Band
After dinner, I wandered around capturing the relaxed and fun-loving atmosphere before the evening began. The couple enjoyed a whole bunch of hugs and kisses, chatting and laughing with their evening guests. Lynsey & Ed soon cut their amazing wedding cake and took to the dance floor to perform their amazing first dance. They were soon joined by family and friends who spent the rest of the night laughing, dancing and having a ball.
So what a fantastic day! Huge congratulations to Lynsey & Ed, I had an amazing day with you, your family and your friends, thanks so much for having me with your as your Thornton Manor Wedding Photographer!
