Stannylands Hotel Wedding Photography – Maz & Richard

It’s always a pleasure to spend the day and shoot Stannylands Hotel Wedding Photography, Saturday was very much one of those days when I joined Marie-Claire (Maz) & Richard for their wedding. Their ceremony was at the very grand St Georges Church in Stockport before celebrating with their family and friends at The Stannylands Hotel, a beautiful & quirky boutique hotel in Wilmslow.

I spent the morning with Maz and her family at their home. With 2 bridesmaids and 7 flower girls, there was as you can imagine plenty of stuff going on, however, the level of coordination was pretty impressive! Everyone was ready on time and Maz made it to the church in record time, I do love an early bride!

Wedding At St Georges Church

I did race ahead to meet up with Rick who was busy greeting the guests and running through some last-minute preparations with his groomsmen. The couple’s ceremony was very lighthearted, with lots of smiles and heartfelt glances at each other. After the formal part of their day, they exited the church into a flurry of confetti and congratulatory hugs. We paused for a few family groups in the grounds of the church, in keeping with the family tradition of others who had married at St Georges.

Arriving in style in their Beauford wedding car, the couple spent a relaxing afternoon in the gardens of the hotel. We had a lovely bit of sunshine, a little prosecco and some delicious canapes. I also took Maz & Rick for a quick spin around the beautiful gardens for some portraits. Dinner was soon called and the guests enjoyed a round of speeches before a delicious meal.

After the meal, the couple and their guests spent a relaxed evening at the hotel. Their wedding breakfast room was prepared for the evening and DJ Adam Carr was prepared to spin the tunes. Soon after, Maz & Rick cut their amazing wedding cake before taking to the floor for their first dance. Family and friends joined them and kept the dance floor full for the rest of the night.
