Sandhole Oak Barn is one of those exquisite Cheshire venues that I always get excited about spending the day at, especially with a lovely couple like Rebecca & David! Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding Photography can be pretty easy when planning what we’re going to do with our couples, with locations like the vast lake, rustic barn setting, cornfields, and farming equipment, you’re spoilt for choice.
On the morning of the wedding, Rebecca was with her family in The Granary Barn whilst David was in the Shepherd’s Hut with his groomsmen. It was great to spend time with them both which would allow them to see each other’s morning in the final collection of photos. There was a great deal of excitement and a little emotion from them both and I knew that they would have an amazing day.

With the weather forecasting a warm and sunny day, the couple had opted for a lovely ceremony under the clock tower next to the lake. It was such a lovely tranquil setting that wowed their guests and added a little something extra to their romantic wedding ceremony. They were also joined by honorary flower dog Roxie who walked back up the aisle with them once the formal part of their day was completed. The couple then enjoyed reception drinks on the patio and mingled with their family and friends before pausing for some formal groups down by the lake. I then whisked the couple away for some portraits around the amazing little locations of the venue. However, after checking the forecast, I knew the evening golden hour would be a good time to go down by the lake as that’s where the sun tends to set.
Top Table Wedding Catering
Before dinner, we gathered in the main barn for an impromptu confetti guard of honor before the guests were announced for the wedding breakfast, the amazing Top Table Catering being tasked with providing the always amazing meal. After enjoying a round of speeches and their delicious food, the guests too to the lakeside terrace to enjoy the slowly setting evening sunshine.
Golden Hour In The Cornfields
As the barn was being turned around for the evening party, I grabbed the couple for a quick walk up to the driveway where the cornfield was in full growth. We may or may not have jumped a fence but as you can imagine, the photos were well worth going off-piste. We also head back down to the main lake for a few portraits where guests were enjoying garden games and eagerly awaiting the evening party.
Kula Bay Wedding Band
The couple made their way back to the main barn to greet their evening guests before taking to the floor to perform their first dance. Their wedding band Kula Bay provided the wedding entertainment for the evening and the guests eagerly joined Rebecca & David on the dancefloor and kept them company for the rest of the night.
So a Massive Congratulations to Rebecca & David and thanks so much for having me as your Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding Photographer, I had an amazing day with you all and wish you all the very best for your future!
