A Rustic September Wedding At Browsholme Hall with Michelle & Carl. Back in early September, I was lucky enough to head into the gorgeous Ribble Valley and spend the day with Michelle & Carl as they celebrated the wedding at the amazing Browsholme Hall. I first met Michelle & Carl back in back in 2016 when I shot Carl’s brother Steven’s wedding at Shrigley Hall, so I was in great company amongst familiar faces for this day.
I met Michelle on the morning of the wedding, she was getting ready at a very stylish local B&B with her family and bridesmaids. The atmosphere was calm and collected but with a hint of excitement just simmering underneath. The couple had hired a VW beetle (called Bradley) from Vintage Love Bugs, he had the very important job of getting the bridesmaids and finally Michelle herself to Brownsholme.
A Tithe Barn Wedding Ceremony
The wedding guests gathered in the Tithe Barn next to the main hall for the ceremony. Carl was waiting with his best man and brother Steven, the roles were now reversed since Stevens’s wedding in 2016. The bridesmaids entered first and built the suspense for Michelle to make her way up the aisle escorted by her very proud father. After a light-hearted ceremony filled with a few readings and much laughter, the couple completed the formal part of their day and made their way back up the aisle as a married pair.
An Afternoon In The Courtyard
Making their way into the congratulating arms of family and friends, Michelle and Carl had a delightful drinks reception in the courtyard next to the Tithe Barn. During this time was paused for some formal groups with family before I whisked the couple away for some beautiful portraits next to the main hall. I tend to keep my portrait sessions quite short, I don’t want my couples to be away from their guests for too long. We had a wander and a chat, it was all fun and relaxed. They were soon back to the party, chatting with guests and a famous face, Alex Brooker from Last Leg fame.
Wayne Farrow Wedding Singer
Dinner was soon announced and the guests made their way back into the Tithe Barn for their wedding breakfast. Michelle and Carl had hired Wayne Farrow to entertain the guests in between courses and he certainly didn’t disappoint. Quite the showman, he sang some classic high-energy songs, and got the guests involved with the singing and dancing before leading a conga line around the Barn itself! I have to admit that I love live wedding day entertainment and Wayne certainly didn’t disappoint!
What an awesome way to spend a Saturday! Massive Congratulations and Thanks to Michelle and Carl for having me with them on their amazing Browsholme Hall Wedding, I had so much fun with you all.
