Northcote Hotel Wedding Photography with Lucy & Daniel. I’m well into the swing of my 2021 wedding season as I joined Lucy & Daniel for their fantastic Northcote Hotel Wedding Photography. I first traveled up to Bury to join Daniel who was getting ready at home with his best men and Penny the couple’s cockapoo. The Bloody Marys on the kitchen table was an indicator that his friends gave him a great send-off the night before.
After a drive further north into the lovely Ribble Valley countryside, I arrived at Northcote to spend a little time with Lucy who was getting ready surrounded by her family and friends. There was a great sense of excitement for the day ahead but Lucy was calm and took it all in her stride. Lucy had the most outrageous pair of wedding shoes that I’d seen for a while, a pair of very colorful Kat Maconie sandals.
Louis Roederer Room Wedding Ceremony
The guests were soon seated in the Louis Roederer Room and Lucy walked down the aisle with her very proud sister. After a really lovely intimate ceremony filled with laughter and a lovely reading from Daniel’s sister, the couple made their way outside into the sun to enjoy some hugs of congratulations from their family.
A Party In The Park
After the wedding ceremony, Lucy & Daniel hopped in their VW camper van for a quick trip to Spring Wood where they met with a group of their family and friends who weren’t able to make it to the wedding ceremony. They enjoyed a few hugs of congratulations, some confetti, and a few glasses of champagne before heading back to Northcote.
Back at the venue, we paused for some family group shots before a quick wander around the grounds of the hotel for some portraits before the guests were called to the wedding breakfast.
A Michelin Starred Wedding Breakfast
The couple being self-confessed foodies and their guests were soon seated in the Louis Roederer Room for their wedding breakfast. After a round of speeches and a highly choreographed music video from their family and friends who couldn’t join them, their 5-course dining experience began. This was then interspersed with a hilarious lucky dip where the guests could win anything from DIY favors and cocktails to a roll of kitchen tissue or a kinder egg. The kinder egg was won by the groom, which he was incredibly happy about.

Relaxed Evening Drinks In The Courtyard
Once the wedding party had finished their dining experience, the guests made their way outside for drinks in the courtyard before an impromptu bouquet toss with the girls, the guys, nursing negroni cocktails, looked on before getting back to their banter. We managed to chase the sun for some evening portraits before the party. The couple had booked an exceptional 5 piece wedding band for their evening and enjoyed a little dancing together before inviting family and friends to join in.
So a massive congratulations to Lucy & Daniel, I had a fantastic day with you all. All the very best to you guys and I hope you love the preview!
About Northcote
Northcote is nestled in the Ribble Valley hills on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so precious that it is safeguarded in the national interest. The land Northcote is built on originally belonged to Henry Pete Esq, a well-known Lancashire landowner. Building commenced in 1880 on the house that was destined to be the private dwelling of Mary Elizabeth Yates. It is the Yates family coat of arms that adorns the exterior of the building.
Northcote became a four-bedroom hotel with a 50-seater restaurant and in 1983 it was purchased by John Wolstenholme to create his dream of Northcote becoming one of the finest restaurants and country house hotels in the UK.
