A Guide To The Best Wedding Photography At The Oak Tree Of Peover

The Lee Brown Photography Guide to Wedding Photography at The Oak Tree of Peover.

This rustic, delightfully exquisite wedding venue in Lower Peover offers an award-winning wedding venue perfectly nestled in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, the perfect backdrop to wedding photography you’re sure to treasure forever.

The Oak Tree of Peover is a popular choice for couples and up to 180 guests for both civil ceremony weddings and celebrations after a church wedding. You will have exclusive use of the venue, so you and your guests can wander and explore the delights this venue offers, with space to spread and mingle.

Set within a stunning private 30-acre estate in the heart of Cheshire, this venue is considered one of the country’s most beautiful barn wedding venues. The Oak Tree of Peover, whilst nestled in the countryside, is close to M6 and on the outskirts of Knutsford, making it the perfect wedding venue, even for guests traveling from further afield.

Nestled in this tranquil private estate is the stunning, aptly named Acorn Room, which has been the home for many couples wishing to marry at The Oak Tree of Peover since their first wedding in 2014. The Acorn room is ideally flooded with natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights, which perfectly sets off the rustic beamed barn, and natural spirals of bougainvillea provide multiple color flower booms that reach the impressive ceiling.

Upon arrival, your guests will be welcomed into The Acorn Bar, the venue’s main bar area, which is also superb in the colder months as the real log fire will be burning. The growing foliage-covered balcony, comfy seating, and fairy lights will set the perfect ambiance for your guests and bring great expectations for the rest of the wedding day.

Couples can choose where they wish to be married, including The Ladybird Room, named after the influx of ladybirds who took residence during the new build. Ladybirds symbolize abundance and good luck, which gave rise to the perfect name for this stunning Cheshire wedding venue, so whether you choose here or one of the other equally delightful settings, your day will be more than a dream and your wedding photography for this Cheshire wedding venue will reflect this.

As a wedding photographer in Cheshire, capturing memories of couples who marry here or have a Cheshire church wedding followed by wedding celebrations at The Oak Tree is always a pleasure. The events team here works with a trusted team of handpicked local suppliers that they have worked with for many years, including my wedding photography services, I am delighted to say.

The wonderful team works with you and your chosen suppliers to pull off a day that not only meets but exceeds everything you could ever want from your wedding. The Oak Tree of Peover teams makes your day magical, whether you have the full 180 guests or prefer a smaller, more intimate affair. Whatever you desire, no matter how quirky, the team will ensure your day runs smoothly and everyone has a great time.

The beautiful views and scenery within this private estate offers couples the chance to relax, have truly unique Cheshire wedding photos captured throughout their entire day, and to be able to enjoy the grounds and venue to its fullest.

The Bridal Prep Room is a luxurious, quiet space where the bride and her bridal party can get dressed and share the final moments before the day’s events begin. Available throughout the day, it offers comfortable seating, mirrors, and dressing tables perfect for a freshen-up and flat shoe storage if you want to ditch the heels to enjoy the party!

If the groom is looking for somewhere to prepare, there is also a designated Groom’s Room, which has a shower, mirrors, hairdryer, and comfy seating so they too can relax knowing they are just a short walk from the wedding ceremony room.

Whilst this Cheshire wedding venue does not offer overnight guest accommodation, it is ideally located close to many quality establishments where the happy couple and guests can stay before the big day or head off once the day is over. Taxis can be booked in advance, so there is no delay when you want to slip away for your first night as a married couple.

The Oak Tree of Peover wedding venue flows perfectly to ensure the day brings delight to everyone in attendance. It offers the perfect mix of luxury, formality, and friendliness, so it is a popular mid-size wedding venue that can do quirky, intimate, or flash so well.

Oak Tree Of Peover Wedding Review – Beth & Dom

We can’t thank Lee enough for the absolutely incredible job he did on our wedding photos.

We felt comfortable with him immediately and he was so friendly and easygoing as well as professional!

With a 4pm November wedding, we knew we were pushing it for light but the shots Lee got were absolutely amazing and he was so patient with us.

There are no words to describe the photos we have received from him and he fit into the day absolutely perfectly.

Lee, thank you so much!

Civil ceremonies take place in The Ladybird Room, and in warmer months, couples can take their vows in the outdoor pavilion, both licensed for civil ceremonies.

The Ladybird Room is a recent addition (2019) to the wedding facilities at The Oak Tree of Peover, and it has rightly become popular for couples who want a venue swathed in natural light and stunningly high ceilings featuring exposed oak beams.

Whilst the music of your choice plays, your guests will certainly delight in the beauty of their surroundings as they wait for the bride to arrive. As an experienced wedding photographer for many Cheshire weddings, I have unique opportunities to use the light to create the most incredible photographic memories of your wedding here.

For the warmer days, the Outdoor Pavilion offers a stunning chance to be closer to nature and the countryside that this lovely venue sits happily within. Guests will be seated on handmade wooden benches and easily take in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

If you wish to be married in a church or other venue, then The Oak Tree of Peover will not disappoint as a venue for your post-marriage celebrations. They will be delighted to host your post-ceremony celebrations so you can still enjoy the unique surroundings and facilities this setting offers.

Once the formalities of the ceremony are over, and you have left the ceremony rooms to rapturous applause and perhaps the traditional confetti shower or guest arch all captured in your wedding photos, then it’s time for you and your guests to relax with a drink and look forward to the rest of the day.

The Acorn Bar is situated close by, so guests can head there to mingle, and the outdoor terrace offers space for guests to mingle before everyone heads off to share your wedding breakfast.

At this point, I like to take the bride and groom off briefly for some beautiful just-married wedding photographs. Usually, around 20 minutes is perfect, where they can relax a little and reflect on the day so far. Your guests will be well looked after during this time and have time to catch up with family and friends or enjoy some of the stunning grounds and views before rejoining you to eat.

Before your wedding day, we will chat about your wedding photographs, and as I know the venue well, I will be able to offer some insight and guide you to the spots where I know I can capture the perfect wedding imagery on your special day. The setting at The Oak Tree of Peover offers wedding couples the ideal mix of splendor, formality, and elegance while remaining relaxed so everyone has the best possible day.

This venue doesn’t disappoint with the opportunities it gives me. I understand that you will also want to get back to your guests, so we aren’t away for too long, just enough time for you to relax and for me to stand back and capture the many natural moments that lend themselves to the best pictures. When genuine joy and happiness radiate, to see this captured in photos that will last a lifetime for you and your friends is truly magical.

I capture the formal wedding photographs of your wedding party before the wedding breakfast, so once done, you can relax and enjoy your chosen wedding breakfast and begin your celebrations together.

Confetti throwing, garter shots, and group wedding photos can then be taken. I ensure your guests are happy and relaxed and look forward to being called to step forward for a picture or two. If I know in advance the photographs you would like of friends and family, this will be planned and of course, should you suddenly think of others on the day, then just let me know and I will also be happy to oblige.

Best Spots For Wedding Photography At The Oak Tree Of Peover

The stunning natural beauty of The Oak Tree of Peover wedding venue leaves me speechless. Whatever time of year, I have the pleasure of being the chosen wedding photographer for this Cheshire venue. It’s hard to narrow down the best wedding photo opportunities at the Oak Tree, but some of my favorites are:

The front of the pavilion with the clock and terracing. Perfect for bridal party photos and sometimes a cheeky garter shot or bouquet toss image.

The backdrop of the trees and skyline as the light magically bathes the ground is stunning in this delightful countryside setting.

Capturing the couple coming through the floral arch in the day or with some creative evening photography.

It doesn’t happen often, but when the fields are bathed in the snow or golden evening sunshine against the white of a wedding gown, shows just how magical this Cheshire wedding venue is at any time of year.

The Oak Tree of Peover has a close working relationship with caterers, all offering a unique style and service, so you will have plenty of trusted choices to bring you food that fits what you want for your Cheshire wedding at The Oak Tree. Of course, you can also choose from a large selection of wines and drinks, ensuring that you and your guests are well-catered.

Unless specifically asked otherwise, I leave you and your guests to enjoy your meal without worrying about being captured in a photo while eating. Whether you choose a formal sit-down wedding breakfast, or something a little different, once you have finished eating, I will be there again, camera in hand, ready to capture some great wedding photographs during the speeches.

The best man usually has a funny tale or two making for some great photo opportunities as everyone relaxes. If you plan to cut your cake before your meal, let me know, and I will ensure that this magical moment is not lost, and you can then share your cake with your guests without missing out on the chance to remember your wedding cake in one piece.

Then as you head off after the wedding breakfast to the entertainment of your choice, whether it be a live band, a DJ or something unique to you, the venue has many connections that can help you if needed. The evening celebration is when everyone can kick back, relax and have fun, so it gives me another great opportunity to capture this magical time as you dance and mingle with your wedding guests.

This venue offers the perfect setting to hold a memorable party, with the Acorn lounge offering the ideal dance floor and space to relax whilst you enjoy your first party with your guest as a married couple.

During the evening, you can offer your guests more food, whether you choose a buffet or something a little different such as pizza or street food; the venue wedding coordinator and the team will bring your wishes to fruition.

You can be sure that whether you have a small intimate few at your wedding or fill to the 180 guest capacity, the team at this stunning Cheshire wedding venue are experts in award-winning weddings. As your photographer, it is always a pleasure to get to know couples and marvel at the different wedding photography images I can capture to help you remember with family and friends over the years.

Of course, to be in such a stunning countryside setting as evening draws in, there are yet more opportunities to use the lighting within the barn and the outdoors to capture yet more unique wedding photos to remind you of every special moment of your wedding at this delightful 5* rated wedding venue.

I hope you enjoyed my review of The Oak Tree of Peover. It is one of many amazing Cheshire wedding venues I have the pleasure of being a wedding photographer for. The perfect setting for both small and larger weddings, as the venue, adapts so well. When it comes to rustic barn wedding venues in Cheshire, you should undoubtedly visit and see all they have to offer. You will be glad you did.
