Harvey Nichols Wedding Photographer with Katy & Ben. So what can I say about Katy & Bens city center wedding…… it was simply an amazing day with amazing people!

I began the day with Katy at the Townhouse Hotel on Portland Street as she relaxed and prepared herself for the day in the stylish surroundings of this former cotton warehouse. The emotions were running high and the iPod playlist was carefully put together to avoid any tear jerkers. However, the girls were calmed and expertly preened by the amazing Sarah Meredith MUA herself.

I then made my way to Duttons in Albert Square to meet Ben who was also relaxing the morning away with his best men and family. The group then gathered at the stunning Manchester Town Hall to await the arrival of the gorgeous Katy and her bridesmaids. After a really heartfelt ceremony in the historical Conference Hall, the couple was congratulated by their family and friends before making their way out into Albert Square for some confetti explosions and intimate family groups.

We then managed to find a little time to head back inside for a few portraits in the amazing surroundings of the Town Hall before heading back to Duttons for some well deserved Prosecco. The group then met Katy and Ben outside Marks & Spencer and strolled down Cathedral Approach towards Harvey Nichols. Now when I told people where Katy & Ben were spending their afternoon, their first reactions were – “Really? Wow, that’s different!” and you know what, it really was! The group made their way through the store up to the restaurant on the second floor to be greeted by welcome drinks, amazing decor, and some contemporary piano tunes!

The couple then sat for a sumptuous 3-course meal surrounded by views of the city. After an excellent set of speeches, I snatched the couple away for a few portraits near Manchester Cathedral before they returned to greet their evening guests. Katy & ben then made their way to the polished marble dance floor for their first dance and was soon surrounded by their family and friends.

After a romantic final shot in the elevator, we left the couple with their family and friends to enjoy their evening. So wow, what a really memorable day, I want to wish Katy & Ben all the very best and hope that they have a very excellent honeymoon!
