People who get married over the winter months often tell me that their perfect wedding day weather is a light dusting of snow. It’s always a privilege to return to Colshaw Hall for a wedding, the architecture and grounds make for a fantastic background for any wedding day photography. This was combined with a very cool couple, Rebecca & Carl, who really embraced the weather and had a really brilliant day with their family and friends.

Their supplier list of who made their day simply awesome is the stuff of dreams and you can view their list at the bottom of the page. As always, a massive shout out to the brilliant team at Colshaw Hall and Toastmaster Ian who made the day run perfectly.

Colshaw Hall Wedding Reviews

“Wow, Lee what can we say, there are no words to tell you how absolutely over the moon we are with our wedding pictures.

I first found Lee on Instagram after searching for something a little different I came across Lee’s profile. It was everything we wanted out of a photographer. His style is so relaxed and seems to capture the most perfect special moments without knowing he’s there.

We, like many others, postponed our 2020 wedding and were so happy Lee could accommodate us. We had a couple of phone calls along with many emails leading up to the wedding So when the wedding day arrived we felt like he knew about us as a couple and was part of the day not just as a photographer but so much more.

He was an absolute pleasure to have with us throughout getting ready, the ceremony, and right through to the evening reception and he captured the day so perfectly, he exceeded all our expectations and more.

I’ve watched our wedding slide show 4 times in 3 days, it’s amazing how a picture tells a thousand words and Lee just manages that so effortlessly without you feeling like you’re being photographed.

Anytime I hear of an engagement I’m the first to recommend you. I can’t thank you enough for capturing our day so perfectly, we absolutely love our album.

Book Lee without hesitation it’ll be the best thing you do!’

About Colshaw Hall

Colshaw Hall is a large house in Peover Superior, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The house was built in 1903 and designed by the Chester architects Douglas and Minshull. It is constructed in red brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. It has two stories plus an attic. Its architectural style is Tudor Revival. It was extended and altered by Percy Worthington in 1907.

David Irlam, of the haulage company James Irlam and Co bought the Hall in the 1990s,  laid the grounds to pasture, converted some of the outbuildings into residential accommodation for members of his family, and returned the house into a family home, in a condition as near as possible to its original state. The hall is now available for hire for weddings and is managed by members of the Irlam family.
