Colshaw Hall Wedding Photography with Leigh & Paul. I first met Leigh & Paul at an ace family wedding back in November and so I was thrilled when they got in touch to ask me to take their Colshaw Hall Wedding Photography.
I spent a little time with both the bride and groom on the morning of their wedding. Leigh was getting ready in the gorgeous bridal suite in the main hall and Paul was with his groomsmen in The Cottages. There was a great deal of fun, and a relaxed atmosphere. Both the couple and their friends were in great spirits for the day ahead.

Once the couple and their bridal parties were ready, Paul welcomed all their guests to the wedding ceremony which took place at the dedicated ceremony space called The Stables. Leigh was soon ready and made her way through the grounds of the Hall to the ceremony location. The guests were treated to some gospel music before the resident Toastmaster Ian announced the arrival of the bride.
The couple enjoyed a lovely ceremony filled with laughter, cute moments from their sons, heartfelt readings, and more gospel music, before completing the formal part of the day, making their way back up the aisle and out into a whirlwind of confetti.
Drinks Reception In The Pavilion
The guests made the short walk over to The Pavilion and enjoyed a drinks reception, selfies with the couple and hugs of congratulations. During this time I took the couple for a walk around the grounds of the hall before their family group shots. In my experience, I’ve found that by taking the couple for portraits first, they are still on their ‘just married’ high and more excited about spending some time together. Group shots with family, whilst nice for the people involved, can subdue the excitement a little.
Wedding Breakfast In The Peel Suite
The weather was fantastic on the day and we made good use of the sunshine before the meal in The Peel Suite. The couple had kept their wedding breakfast decorations simple and elegant, with gold-plated place settings, fresh flowers, and chocolate favors for guests to enjoy.
Once their family and friends were seated, Ian the toastmaster ramped up the energy and introduced the couple to their wedding breakfast. Leigh & Paul entered the room to thunderous applause, made their way through their guests, and took their seats at the top table for dinner.
So what a fantastic day! Huge congratulations to Leigh & Paul, I had a fab day with you, your family and your friends, thanks so much for having me with you as your Colshaw Hall Wedding Photographer!
About Colshaw Hall
Colshaw Hall is a large house in Peover Superior, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The house was built in 1903 and designed by the Chester architects Douglas and Minshull. It is constructed in red brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. It has two stories plus an attic.
