Cocktails And Blue Sky Dreams For a Wedding At The Mere

On Sunday, I was back on wedding duty as I joined Charlotte & Nathan for what turned out to be another amazing wedding in some glorious weather! This very lovely couple got married at St Margaret’s in Dunham, a Grade II listed church built in 1851. They then spent a sunny afternoon at The Mere Golf Resort, a prestigious country club that dates back to 1934 and plays host to many famous faces who reside in Cheshire.

I spent the morning with Charlotte who was with her family and bridesmaids, Nathan was nearby so I was able to spend a little time with them both. We had really nice chilled-out mornings, just capturing the goings-on of two people preparing themselves for one of the most exciting days in their lives so far. Nathan arrived early at church to greet the guests and Charlotte, once ready, jumped into her Bauford for the short journey.

A Traditional Church Wedding in Dunham

After a beautiful ceremony filled with a few nerves, much laughter and a lot of emotion, the couple exited church into the waiting arms of their family and friends for congratulatory hugs and kisses. They walked through the churchyard, through a shower of confetti and into their car for the drive back to The Mere. Arriving for their drinks reception, amazing weather and great company, the couple enjoyed a relaxed afternoon in the sun. We paused for some family groups on the lawn before having a wander down to the lake for portraits of the couple together.

An Evening Party In The Mere Suite

Dinner and speeches were soon served before the guests relaxed in the beautiful surroundings of the resort. We chased the last of the evening sun for some final portraits before the party really began with singer Daniel East starting off the evening.

So Huge Congratulations to Charlotte & Nathan, a fun-loving couple that truly enjoyed every single part of their day. A bride that didn’t stop smiling & laughing and a groom that took it all in his stride! Also, Massive Thanks to your family and friends who made me feel so welcome. I hope that you guys have a fantastic honeymoon and thanks so much for having me with you as your photographer.
