Cheshire Wedding Photographer – Susan & Lewis

This Christmas Eve, whilst everyone was early awaiting the arrival of Santa and consuming masses of mince pies, I was out and about shooting the wedding of Susan & Lewis. This lovely couple was joined by 20 or so of their really closest family and friends for an intimate ceremony at Stalybridge Unitarian Church before returning to their new home which had been beautifully decorated as a winter land to entertain their guests.

I began the morning by joining Susan at her family home where she prepared herself surrounded by her family and closest friends before making my way to church to meet Lewis who was waiting with his family. When everyone had arrived and made their way into the warmth of the church, Susan arrived in style being chauffeur driven by her father in his classic Bentley. The couple then enjoyed an intimate and joyful ceremony before completing the formal part of their day and making their way out of the church to be congratulated by their family.

I then followed the couple to their home where they prepared everything for the arrival of their guests. We also had some time to capture some gorgeous portraits in the park before wandering back for hot chocolate and warm mince pies! Once everyone had arrived and donned their personalized slippers, the group enjoyed an afternoon of chatting, cracker pulling, and charades. Susan & Lewis wore their personalized aprons and dished out food to their guests before the best man Michael welcomed the guests and toasted the happy couple.

After some family group shots around the Christmas tree and a few final portraits, I left the group to enjoy their evening and drove home to prepare for my own Christmas day!
