A Beautiful Autumn Celebration: Alice & Daniel’s Wedding At The Chester Fields
There’s something about autumn weddings that feels extra special — the golden light, the crisp air, and that cosy sense of romance that comes with the changing seasons. Alice and Daniel’s wedding at The Chester Fields Wedding Venue captured all of that and more. With warm sunshine, rustic décor, and a relaxed countryside setting, it was a perfect day from start to finish.
About Their Day
As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at many incredible venues, but The Chester Fields Wedding stands out for its charm, atmosphere, and breathtaking rural views. It’s the kind of place that immediately feels welcoming, where you can truly relax and celebrate surrounded by nature and the people you love most.

Little Barrow Barns
The day began at Little Barrow Barns, where Alice and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready. The barn is a stunning spot for bridal prep — full of natural light and countryside charm, it sets the perfect tone for the day ahead. Hair and makeup were in full swing thanks to Brides Be Angela, who worked her magic to create soft, romantic looks for Alice and her bridal party. There was a calm yet excited buzz in the air, with music playing, coffee brewing, and the occasional happy tear as Alice stepped into her wedding dress.
Alice’s gown came from The Bridal Lounge in Clitheroe, a boutique known for its elegant, timeless designs. Her dress was a perfect reflection of her personality — classic yet modern, with delicate lace detailing that caught the light beautifully. Her bouquet, created by Hoole Food Market Flowers, was a masterpiece of dried and seasonal blooms, earthy tones of gold, cream, and blush that tied in perfectly with the autumn theme.
Meanwhile, Daniel was at home preparing for the day with his groomsmen. A member of the British Army, Daniel wore his uniform with pride, adding a sense of tradition and honour to the celebrations. There’s something so powerful about seeing a groom in his dress uniform; it brings a quiet dignity and emotion to the day. The guys enjoyed a relaxed morning, a few laughs, and a toast to the day ahead before heading to the venue.

The Chester Fields Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the converted barn at The Chester Fields, one of the most charming spaces in Cheshire for saying “I do.” The barn, with its exposed beams, rustic wooden features, and soft lighting, created the perfect romantic setting. The décor, provided by With Love Wedding Decor, enhanced the barn’s natural beauty without overpowering it. Dried flowers, wooden accents, and candles gave everything a warm, autumnal glow.
As guests took their seats, sunlight streamed through the barn windows, adding a golden touch to the moment. Alice walked down the aisle, her father proudly by her side, to a beaming Daniel waiting at the front. The look they shared said it all. This was their moment, years in the making.
The ceremony itself was full of love and laughter. Their vows were heartfelt and personal, bringing a few tears from both the couple and their guests. One of my favourite parts of The Chester Fields Wedding ceremonies is how intimate the barn feels, even with a full room, it feels cosy, warm, and full of emotion.
After the ceremony, guests spilled out into the gardens to enjoy drinks under the autumn sun. The weather was mild and clear, with just enough warmth to keep everyone comfortable. Glasses clinked, laughter echoed, and the newlyweds shared hugs and congratulations from their loved ones.

Portraits Around The Chester Fields
One of the reasons I love The Chester Fields Wedding Photography is the variety of backdrops available. The venue is surrounded by rolling fields, rustic fences, and sweeping countryside views — perfect for capturing those romantic, natural portraits.
We took a stroll around the grounds just as the afternoon light softened, giving us that gorgeous golden-hour glow that makes autumn weddings so magical. The warm tones of the fields and the rustic charm of the barn provided a timeless backdrop for Alice and Daniel’s couple portraits. Between laughter, quiet glances, and stolen kisses, they were a joy to photograph — completely at ease and full of genuine happiness.
It’s one of my favourite parts of any wedding day — that little pocket of time where the couple can step away from the crowd and just be together. Watching them laugh and talk, surrounded by the beauty of The Chester Fields Wedding Venue, it was clear how perfect the day was for them.

The Reception
As the sun began to dip, guests made their way into the barn for the wedding breakfast. The reception space was beautifully decorated by With Love Wedding Decor, featuring rustic wooden tables adorned with crystals, glass bowls filled with vibrant flowers, and warm candlelight. The theme was inspired by holiday destinations that Alice and Daniel had enjoyed together — a subtle, personal touch that made the room feel even more meaningful.
Dinner was relaxed and filled with laughter, with a menu full of hearty, locally sourced dishes, one of the hallmarks of The Chester Fields Wedding Venue, which is known for its award-winning food and friendly service. Guests enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere that perfectly balanced elegance with the laid-back charm of the countryside.
After the meal came the speeches, and they didn’t disappoint. From heartfelt words to moments of pure comedy, each speech reflected just how loved Alice and Daniel are. There were cheers, a few tears, and plenty of smiles as the couple shared stories of their journey.
The cake was a real labour of love lovingly homemade by Alice’s mum. It was beautifully simple and rustic, decorated with dried flowers that tied perfectly into the day’s theme. There’s something so special about a family-made cake; it always adds an extra layer of sentiment to the day.

Evening Celebrations
As twilight fell, the party truly began. The barn glowed under soft string lights as DJ Sam Jay took over and filled the dance floor. From the first dance to the final song of the night, it was non-stop energy, friends and family celebrating, dancing, and laughing together.
The newlyweds shared their first dance surrounded by their loved ones, a perfect moment of calm before the night kicked off. Soon enough, everyone joined them, and the barn came alive with the sound of music, clinking glasses, and happy voices.
I always love the evening at The Chester Fields Wedding as the lights dim and the music plays, the whole atmosphere shifts from romantic to celebratory. It’s a chance for everyone to let loose, have fun, and make memories that last long after the night ends.
